QBS 196 Supervised Teaching in QBS
This course is mandatory for all QBS PhD graduate students and requires students to serve as a teaching assistant for a QBS course. An essential element of graduate education is the experience gained in teaching other students, and additionally, this experience may be relevant to a student's career interests. Responsibilities may include holding office hours or discussion sessions, grading, managing a course page, and attending lectures, but will not exceed 10 hours/week. The faculty and student teaching assistant may also work very closely to develop assignments, and while it is not an expectation, students may have the option to design and present lectures should they want to gain additional experience. This course is open only to QBS PhD students. Please email Dr. Kristine Giffin for more information.
