GERM 5 Discovering Berlin
Taught in Berlin, this beginner-intermediate course introduces students to the city as an object of study—a crossroads of cultures and a sometimes dark and sometimes inspiring site of German and international history. The syllabus is based on weekly field trips to architectural, historical, religious, scientific, and industrial landmarks and on short student responses to them, in speaking and in writing.
